Evaluation of SARI/ILI Sentinel Surveillance System, April - May 2018, Kosovo*







Activities regarding Evaluation of SARI/ILI Surveillance were organized in Kosovo* during April-June 2018.

At the beginning informal meeting were conducted with influenza coordinators at sentinel sites to inform them about the evaluation process of sentinel SARI and ILI surveillance system which would be performed.

"Event-Based Surveillance Workshop" was organized by Robert Koch Institute in collaboration with Institute of Public Health in Albania and South East European Center for Infectious Diseases, on 20-21 June 2018.

Event-based surveillance describes the organized and rapid capture of information about events that pose potential risk to public health and should be a part of a country’s early warning and response structures by complementing existing indicator-based surveillance functions.

In the framework of the PIVI Program (Partnership for Influenza Vaccine Introduction) a division from CDC/Task Force visited Tirana, Albania and Skopje, Macedonia from May 21-28, 2018.
