Workshop and Site Visit, April 25-28, 2016 Tirana, Albania
In the framework of the study “Burden of Influenza Infection among Hospitalized Infants in Low-and Middle-Income Countries and the Potential of Prevention through Influenza Vaccination”, SECID organised a workshop that took place from April 25-28 at the Tirana International Hotel in Tirana, Albania.
The workshop was held in collaboration with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Abt Associates Inc., and fellow paediatric infectious disease experts.
In the framework of the “Surveillance and Response to Avian and pandemic Influenza" Project , in Kosovo* was organized “Training on Influenza Surveillance and Outbreak Response”.
The participants of the workshop were epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists from sentinel sites and microbiologists, 33 participants in total.
Southeast European Center for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Disease (SECID) in cooperation with Skoll Global Threats Fund (SKGT ) organized EPIHACK ALBANIA & Time to Detect and Time to Respond in Saranda, Albania from 18 – 22 April 2016.
