One Health Leishmaniasis Meeting --- 29-30 October 2014 Tirana ,Albania
SECID in collaboration with CORDS, MECIDS, and with the financial support of Bill and Merlinda Gates Foundations is going to organize the meeting : One Health Leishmaniasis
The purpose of the meeting is to establish a One Health Leishmaniasis communication platform and moving further on with data query and sharing system and risk index. The idea is to bring two regions (South East Europe and Middle East) together to the control of a neglected disease by using one health concept.
Introduction to Laboratory Quality Management and the LQSI tool --- 17-21 November Tirana, Albania
WHO Regional Office for Europe, in collaboration the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) and the Southeast European Center for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases (SECID) will organise a 5-day introduction to Laboratory Quality Management and the Laboratory Quality Stepwise Implementation (LQSI) tool, as part of the Better Labs for Better Health project aiming at strengthening National Influenza Centres (NIC) capacities and virological surveillance in Eastern Europe.
Kick off Meeting Second Year-Flu Project --- 20-21 November Tirana Albania
The kick off meeting for second year of Influenza CDC project and lessons learned from the first year will be organized during 20-21 November , in Tirana, Albania.
Meanwhile WHO EURO will organize a lab training module from 17 -21 November in Tirana, Albania. We will combine both meetings on Friday November 21. WHO EURO and CDC will participate in our meeting
Meeting of selected Influenza experts and managers on procurement procedures --- 2-3 December 2014 Bellagio, Italy
SECID is going to organised Meeting in Bellagio, Italy, from 2 - 3 December 2014.
The scope of this meeting is to bring together representatives from SECID countries, WHO and business companies to discuss the improvement and strengthening of Influenza Laboratory Management related to procurement as well as Information System. The scope of the meeting has been decided after discussions with WHO following their assessment visits in priority countries.
Supported by CORDS, SECID intends to organise :
- Risk Management/Risk communication workshop.
In the frame work of the risk management workshop SECID is planning to organise three cross border meetings.
