Due to the tense epizootic situation relating to the spread of nodular dermatitis (Lumpy skin disease) among animals in the country, the management of Bulgarian Food Safety Agency suggested one national instead of two separate sub-regional meetings to be held, as it would gather in one place representatives from the whole country of both systems - human health and veterinary medicine. This was mutually agreed and the event was held in two-days format.
The meeting was attended by representatives of: Bulgarian Food Safety Agency; Ministry of Health; National Center of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases; Bulgarian Society for Innovative Medicine NGO; Representatives from the whole Public Health and Veterinarian network.
During the meeting the participants were acquainted with the current situation of communicable diseases in humans and animals global and local coverage.
