Burden of Influenza Infection among Hospitalized Infants in Low-and Middle-Income Countries and the Potential of Prevention through Influenza Vaccination

Workshop and Site Visit, April 25-28, 2016 Tirana, Albania

 

In the framework of the study “Burden of Influenza Infection among Hospitalized Infants in Low-and Middle-Income Countries and the Potential of Prevention through Influenza Vaccination”, SECID organised a workshop that took place from April 25-28 at the Tirana International Hotel in Tirana, Albania.

The workshop was held in collaboration with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Abt Associates Inc., and fellow paediatric infectious disease experts.

The workshop was focused on analysing the results of the study of enhanced influenza virus disease surveillance among hospitalized infants aged <1 year old across four countries involved in the project (Albania, Jordan, Philippines, Nicaragua).
