SECID - Southeast European Center for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases
From 19th -20th February 2019 SECID team and other network members of the Connecting Organization for Regional Disease Surveillance (CORDS) were gathered in a final meeting to discuss the assessment of community reporting of health events in cross border areas in each region.
Supervision of sentinel sites took place in Tirana and other districts of Albania from December 2018- January 2019. These visits were organized in the framework of the Project “Surveillance and Response to Avian and Pandemic Influenza".
The aim of the visits were to supervise the registers in order to verify suspected cases of flu influenza or other respiratory viruses.
SEEHN Secretariat Representatives met Friday 18 January 2019, the Regional Health Development Center (RHDC) Southeast European Center for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases (SECID) in Tirana, Albania. The visit to SECID aimed for strengthening public health cooperation related to the public health emergencies, preparedness and control of the communicable diseases.
