In the framework of the European week for prevention of cervical cancer, SECID in collaboration with IPH and Albanian Center for Population and Development (ACPD) organized the meeting ‘The progress of Screening and Prevention of Cervical Cancer process in Albania’.
3 DECEMBER 2014 ¦ MELBOURNE -New guidance from WHO aims to help countries better prevent and control cervical cancer. The disease is one of the world’s deadliest – but most easily preventable – forms of cancer for women, responsible for more than 270 000 deaths annually, 85% of which occur in developing countries.
On 6th of June 2014 the Albanian NGO “STOP AIDS” conducted a consultative meeting about the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of Infective Agents in Albania.
The aim of the meeting was to identify the priorities and the steps to be followed in order to building up a Program on PMCT of Infective Agents in Albania

This event took place following the Roundtable Meeting “Lobbing of Parties of Interest to Support the Prevention of Cervical Cancer” (November the 6th 2013, Tirana), which was finalized with the signing of the Declaration of Wisdom
