A Study Visit on influenza surveillance in Serbia was organized from 12th to 14th of May 2014. Montenegro was a participatory country involved in this visit, represented by Dr Bozidarka Rakocevic.
On 7th of May in the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro took place the meeting of sentinel doctors. In the meeting participated 27 doctors.

The CDC Site Visit to Albania took place from 26th April to 3rd May 2014. The visit included Influenza Surveillance Review (conducted by Stacey Spivey-Blackford (CDC) and Carina Blackmore (CSTE)) and Influenza Laboratory Capacity Review (conducted by Richard Alexander and Amy Woron (APHL))
The purpose of the visit was to assist with the systematic, standardized review of influenza sentinel site surveillance system and to help identify problems and design solutions.
Specific objectives included:
On 25th of April in the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro took place the workshop on guidelines for improving SARI. In the workshop participated 20 epidemiologists, virologists, infectious disease specialists etc., representing IPH, Hospitals, Clinical Centre etc.

A visit to sentinel site in Kukes took place on 16th April 2014 in the framework of “Surveillance and Response to Avian and Pandemic Influenza by National Health Authorities of Countries of South East Europe” Project.
During the visit, epidemiologists of IPH have supervised the registers in order to verify suspected cases of flu influenza or other respiratory viruses.
